Did you hear that? Sounds like babies to me. Must be Gryffindor's.(From left to right: Grasshopper, Barqs & Waterbug) Our lambs aren't due until the end of this month.(Khan and Gryffindor in background)
No we didn't do any crosses this year. We may do a few next fall, but we do like having purebred Shetlands and find the fiber has as much to offer in its own way as the Cormo. I'll send some samples along with Gryf's fleece when it is ready to ship in the fall.
I think Gryff is in an I or J coat now. We duct taped the end of Waterbug's horns because they needed to be trimmed back. Waiting to get his fleece off him and then he'll be going to slaughter.

Will they be Shetland/Cormo lambs?

That would be lovely ..thank you very much Karen. I luv Shetland fleece too. Do you expect Gryf's fleece to have a long staple?
Last year Gryff's fleece had a six inch staple and I imagine he'll be in that range again this year by the time we shear the end of May.
Grasshopper and Barqs are so cute. Is that Duct tape on Waterbugs horn?? Gryff must be in a HUGE coat.... :)
