READY, SET...

This is what accumulates in a sheep barn in one month's time. Which is why we attempt to clean the barn down to the ground at least every six weeks throughout the winter and spring. We are now clean and ready to start building up a good layer for the first lambs of the season. Lambing jugs will be cleaned out as needed throughout the three weeks we expect lambs. So the barn is READY...
The Shetland ewe flock has had fleece samples taken...eyelids have been checked for any signs of anemia...udders are coming in and coats are snug...Hooves are trimmed....So our ewes are SET....
From left to right:Ruby, Kir, Princess Buttercup Marrakech, Lizzie, Kismet, Maple Sugar, Ebony, with Angel and Alanis in the foreground.
Stay tuned for GO.....
