That is Leda aka "Fattie". She is a doe we purchased from an old photo who came to us obese. What were you feeding her I asked the ex-owner of this dried off doe. "Goat grain mix and alfalfa hay." So Leda went on a heavy duty diet to rework her rumen but we cannot bring her stretched out sides back into place. She is now pregnant and due sometime in March. We hope for a happy outcome for her and then she'll be retired to a good home where she can graze and just be a pet.

Hello Karen....I just became a blogger and saw your beautiful winter scenes. I am not a fan of snow throughout the winter season, but occasionally would be nice! Being from Georgia, snow is rare. In fact, it was about 67 degrees today ... sunny and warm; in fact, too warm for January. By 8:30, we had thunderstorms, hail, and tornado warnings.

I lived for a year in Valdosta, GA and must admit I spent most of the time on the air conditioning vents in our house reading books. I like it below 72 degrees although I do love the springs in the south with all the flowering shrubs and trees.
